Run your monthly B2C consolidation

Last reviewed: 2026-08-03

Scope: The repeatable month-end procedure for consolidating B2C receipts: selection, review, conversion, submission, and verification in the Consolidation Log.

If you run a B2C business, most of your sales end the month as one consolidated e-invoice instead of hundreds of individual ones. New to the concept? Start with what consolidated invoices are. This guide is the procedure: the same steps, in the same order, every month. The demo embedded in How to submit invoices to LHDN walks the same stages in the product.

The monthly rhythm

During the month, receipts flow into JomeInvoice from your POS, accounting system, or uploads, and collect in your invoice module as Inbound Drafts. Customers who want a proper e-invoice request one through your link or QR code; approve those promptly. Each approved request is converted into an individual e-invoice automatically and drops out of the consolidation pool - no action needed on your side.

After the month ends, you consolidate everything that remains and submit it to LHDN within 7 calendar days.

Step 1 - Start the consolidation

  1. Open your invoice module and click Bulk Actions → Consolidate Invoice.

  2. The Select & Convert Consolidated eInvoice panel opens. Set:

    • Status - keep Draft for the normal monthly run.
    • Date Period - choose Issue Date or Created Date, and set the range to the month you are consolidating (for example, August 1st to August 31st).
    • Consolidated Format - how receipts are structured in the consolidated invoice; Step 3 explains the two formats.
    • Invoice Affix Type - All, Prefix, or Suffix.
    • Review the remaining fields (Module, Invoice Type, Currency, Issuer/Branch) before proceeding.
  3. Click Proceed & Preview.

Step 2 - Review the tagged receipts

JomeInvoice tags the matching receipts and presents the batch for review:

  • Total selected - receipts included in this consolidation.
  • Total excluded - receipts JomeInvoice removed automatically because a single transaction exceeds RM10,000 (LHDN requires individual e-invoices for these).
  • Cancel the tagging of any receipt you want to handle separately.

Receipts that already became individual e-invoices through an approved customer request are excluded automatically and will not appear in the batch.

Step 3 - Convert

Convert generates the consolidated draft - one per branch, so a business with 5 outlets gets 5 consolidations. The format you chose controls the structure:

  • Range of Receipt/Invoices per line item - receipts are grouped into sub-consolidated invoices under one parent, up to the range limit you set (1 to 1,000).
  • Single Receipt/Invoice per line item - each receipt becomes its own line, for a more granular breakdown.

You can delete an individual sub-consolidated invoice at this stage; its receipts return to Inbound Draft so you can handle them separately.

Step 4 - Submit

At the submit stage you can:

  • Export CSV first, if you want the batch on file for internal review.
  • Revert, to undo the whole consolidation and send every receipt back to Inbound Draft.
  • Submit, to send the consolidated invoice to LHDN.

Once submitted to LHDN, a consolidation cannot be reverted. Export or revert before you submit, not after.

Step 5 - Verify in the Consolidation Log

Open the Consolidation Log and confirm the run finished cleanly: the record should reach Completed, with the outcome shown in the Result column. Then check the Outbound section of your invoice module to confirm the consolidated invoice reached Valid with LHDN.

The consolidated e-invoice is issued to the buyer "General Public" - that is the format LHDN requires, not a mistake.

Rules worth remembering

  • Submit within 7 calendar days after the month ends.
  • Single transactions above RM10,000 cannot be consolidated - they need individual e-invoices, so collect those buyers' details at the point of sale.
  • LHDN excludes certain business activities from consolidation entirely (for example, motor vehicle sales and flight tickets). If you are unsure whether this affects you, check LHDN's e-invoice guideline or ask your tax advisor.
  • Missed a month? Run the same flow with the Date Period set to that month, and submit as soon as you can.
